Philippe Etchebest is a French chef renowned both for his exceptional culinary skills and his charismatic, demanding personality. Born in Soissons in 1966, he has established himself as one of France's most famous chefs, not least thanks to his television appearances on shows such as Top Chef and Cauchemar en cuisine. A former boxer and rugby player, Philippe Etchebest is known for his direct style and his sound advice to young chefs. He embodies rigor, passion and excellence in French cuisine.

Phở, also known as pho or Tonkin soup, is a traditional Vietnamese dish based on meat broth and rice noodles, topped with a variety of ingredients. Phở is traditionally cooked with beef or chicken.

Contestants must choose between beef (Pho Bo) or chicken (Pho Ga) as the protein

Cheesecake is a North American variety of cheesecake. It's a sweet dessert made with a mixture of cream cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla and/or lemon flavors, on a crust of cookie crumbs or sponge cake.
